Tips to use Spybot Search and Destroy

Check and Immunize against Spyware:

1. Double Click on the Spybot Desktop Icon
2. Left Click X1 on Check for Problems. Spybot scans computer for spyware.
3. If spyware is found, they will be listed. Make sure all boxes are check with a check mark.
4. Click on Fix All Problems. The Spyware will now have a green check mark.
5. Click on Immunize on the left hand side tool bar.

Updating Spybot increases your protection against spyware.

1. You MUST be connected to the internet (internet service provider) to update
2. Click on Spybot on the desktop
3. Click on UPDATES located on the left
4. Click on Check for updates above
5. When thru checking, the updates are seen
6. Click on Download Updates.

Getting bad checksum error? Just change the server, you can download from any of the servers listed.
